Zoo morning

We got some rain and the splash area was closed due to thunder, but Colin still had fun riding the alligator fountain.

Mall rides

How to keep C happy for a mall trip.... Several of these and my new trick... Go at lunch time and feed lunch on his stroller tray, kept him occupied a while!

The little moments

Today Colin and I checked out my moms pool at her new condo. The pool overlooks the big lake and it was so serene. As we sat enjoying our lunch in the shade, I thought to myself, these are the moments with my son I love...him dripping wet,the sun gleaming off his golden head, happy as can be to be sitting under the tree enjoying a simple pool picnic with his mommy.
The moment was to sweet to bother with a pic but it's something I'll remember clear in my mind for a long time.

Anna Maria Island= Heaven

Two of my favorite things to do over the summer include going out on the boat and hitting up the beach with family and friends. This past week, I got to do both of those things. Anna and her family were staying at her sisters beach house ( which is AMAZING, check it out here) for the week, so last Sunday Evan, Colin and I loaded up on the boat and met them over at Egmont Key. I've heard nice things about Egmont from a few people, and it did not disappoint. The beach was secluded, the water was clear and the company was great! Since Anna and Matt live on the East Coast it is rare for us to get together on our boats, but it happened and we had a great time.

Then on Wednesday, Colin and I took the trip over to Anna Maria Island for an overnight stay at the beach house with Anna. Joining us were Rachel and Charlotte, and Daniella, Cami and Easton. We had a full house ( 6 kids and 4 mommies)! It was a quick trip but jam packed full of fun. My favorite moments were the walk on the pier followed by spontaneous playing in the sand...

Relaxing at the beach...

And just seeing our kids all playing together...

We hope to make this an annual tradition, and much longer than just a one night stay!
Before we headed back, sorry Rachel we took this right after you left!
